It's a little outdated but in my opinion that only added to its charm! VERY clean despite what your first glance might tell you. The room smelled fresh and the sheets, laundered. The bathroom was immaculate. My friends and I very much enjoyed it here on our trip.
The Indianhead Motel was one of the little surprise gems of my recent trip. I booked a reservation online a week ahead of my stay based on a google search. One never knows what to expect when staying at a local establishment that doesn’t have to answer to a national franchise office. Google described this place a 2-star motel, but customer ratings gave it 4 stars. The customers were right this time, so don’t worry about staying at the Indianhead Motel. It was fantastic! Everything was clean and in good repair, the rooms had all the amenities one would expect, it was within a five minute walk from a family style restaurant, the proprietor was friendly and helpful, and the price was right. An unexpected bonus was finding a hair dryer in the room to dry my motorcycle gloves after riding through rain most of that day! If you’re going through Ironwood, don’t hesitate to stay at the Indianhead Motel!
It was good for our purposes. The owners were very nice and very hospitable. A couple of things I just found odd. A coffee pot in the room, but no coffee. A cutting board, for some reason? No knives, or any other kitchen ware, dishes, etc., no kitchen sink, so why a cutting board? I would stay there again. And bring coffee
Motel room was clean and comfortable, with many convenient outlets available for charging (so nice!). Decor is vintage and the lemon yellow bathtub was awesome! The room was surprisingly quiet for being right next to the road, though the light from outside did get in more than I would have liked. Owners were pleasant and accommodating of a late arrival time. Didn't have a chance to partake of the free breakfast. Overall, very nice for the price.
Stepping into our room was like stepping back in time! But the owners were very nice, everything was clean, the hot water worked better than some upscale hotels I've stayed at, and we had a mini fridge. However the bed wasn't exactly great (it felt like it could collapse on us) and you could hear a lot of road noise. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
